:: Party Wall Advice, Notices and Awards
With particular reference to The
Party Wall etc. Act 1996, giving advice on the rights and duties
of property owners as to the repair, construction and works to Party
Walls and similar structures and as to adjacent excavation and construction
close to boundaries. Advising on the circumstances in which the
act will apply as well as the procedures to be followed.
Acting as agent in serving notices on behalf of the building owner
or checking notices received by the adjoining owner.
In the event of a dispute, acting in an arbitral capacity as Party
Wall Surveyor under the Act to administer the Act's dispute resolution
mechanism, to prepare and issue an award(s) and to regulate matters
either in the capacity as the Agreed Surveyor for
both the building owner and the adjoining owner or as Party-appointed
Surveyor for the building owner or Party-appointed
Surveyor for the adjoining owner.
